Ayurvedic Cooking

Seasonal food, six tastes and shared discovery

A small-group workshop of approximately three hours, bringing Ayurvedic food principles into a practical, welcoming kitchen setting.

Explore the six tastes, thoughtful use of spices and the preparation of two seasonal recipes using accessible Mediterranean ingredients. We finish with a shared meal and conversation. No previous knowledge is needed.

Nada Yoga
Sound Journey

A guided group experience bringing together breath awareness, body-based relaxation, attentive silence and live bansuri, the Indian bamboo flute.

Inspired by Vipassana meditation, this practice invites participants to observe bodily sensations as they are, including how thoughts and emotions are felt in the body, and to explore the insights that arise.

Sound journeys offer a distinctive opportunity to pause amid the demands of modern city life and notice what is happening within.

Arts-Based Community Projects

During the Samandağ visits, the project activities included drawing, movement, rhythm, storytelling and work with simple materials. The programme also included training for school teachers and volunteers and an informational conversation with parents and teachers. These activities are presented here as a record of the projects and the participating communities, not as a professional service or qualification offered by Orçun.

Following the 2023 earthquakes, two voluntary projects took place with children, teachers, volunteers and parents living in container settlements. Orçun established local contacts and supported practical coordination, translation, and observation throughout the visits.

December 2024

The December visit included creative group sessions with children living in container settlements and an informational discussion with parents and teachers about awareness and arts-based approaches.
